Green growth
Governments and companies around the globe have been more and more caring about green growth and this trend will continue in 2013. Nowadays green growth and sustaible development are the main concept of the companies and decisive factors of sales because customers are reluctant to use and buy non environmentally friendly products anymore. They are very cautious about where products come from, how products are processed, and whether profits go for good purposes. Coporate social responsibility has some connection to it. Corporations are trying to turn profits coming from green growth into love of sharing for local communities.
Increase of women-orientated policies
South Korea elected the nation's first female president and this will have an impact on the domestic job market as well. President-elect promised to increase women's opportunities in education and employment and to ease the burden of child care. Her policies include reduced work hours for pregnant workers and providing free child care services. According to the policies, 'gender equality' boost in public and private sectors is also forecast and having more female leaders in society also would be expected.
Booming of 'go it alone' resturants
Still, in Korea many people are afraid of entering a resturant alone because of the idea that those who go eating alone are social outcast or something. However, that concept slowly but surely has been changing. People in their 20s and 30s are daringly challenging themselves and trying to go out and eat alone, not lonely, but pleasantly. Following this trend, many 'go it alone'-friendly resturants are turning up.
